Willow Tea Rooms Restoration Project

20th Dec 2016

Miss Cranston’s Willow Tea Rooms at 217 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow were designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1903. It is the only Tea Room where Mackintosh was in control of the exterior and the interior. His arrangement of the internal spaces and his designs for the furniture are unparalleled and the building is recognised internationally. We are therefore delighted to report that the Advanced works have commenced on site. These works involve the careful restoration of the existing external fabric.miss-cranstoncharles-rennie-mackintosh
